Joel,

I am a friend of Alina and Tara's and have met Kelly numerous times over the past 7 years. Even though we were not close friends I do remember what a sweetheart she was. I just want you to know that my thoughts and prayers have been with you guys and are still very much with you and your family. I am very speechless about everything she went through, but in awe at what an amazing heart she had. Take care of yourself as I know you are so drained.

I am so sorry for your loss. My husband, Dan passed away on 9/8/06. Kelly, Dan, Sam and all of the others put up such courageous fights. Take care of yourself and remember the good times.

Joel, we are so very sorry for your loss.....Kelly touched our hearts so much. When we spent time with you and Kelly earlier this year, while we were visiting MD Anderson for Val's cholangiocarcinoma, we felt such comraderie with you both. Kelly's spirit and strength will always be remembered.....may God bring you peace as you endure this loss.

Warmest regards,

Char Sloan, and all of the Sloan and McCrea family

Dear Joel, I was in Las Vegas with my sister, Caroline Gray Stoufer (a CC blogger), this weekend and she told me Kelly died. It was like someone punched me in the stomach. Even though I don't know any of you, reading each person's blog is more intimate than the knowledge I have with many acquaintances. I knew from her postings that Kelly had not been doing well - but it's still such a shock as she was so young and such a little tiger.

I hope all the wonderful memories you have of Kelly will at some point help ease the pain of such a great loss.

Sincerely,
Suzie Gray West
